Great things comes to those who wait, it seems — especially for fans of White Collar.
Series creator Jeff Eastin confirmed Thursday in Los Angeles that an updated version of the police procedural is finally in development.
“We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script,” Eastin said, as quoted by Variety. He appeared at the trade’s TV festival with stars Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay and Tiffany Thiessen — all of whom are expected to return.
“I’m in!” exclaimed Bomer.
“It’s a fantastic script and it answers all the questions that one would have if you watch the show,” added DeKay, who continued, “and it would introduce the show to those who haven’t seen it as well. Both edges of the sword are honed.”
The reboot also is expected to honor the late Willie Garson, who played Mozzie in the original series. Garson died in 2021.

Christina Ricci is opening up on that scene in Showtime’s Yellowjackets finale and offering fans a small glimpse at what they can expect from season three.
Ricci’s character, Misty — spoiler alert! — accidentally killed Juliette Lewis‘ Natalie at the end of season two as the Yellowjackets continue to do what it takes to survive post-plane crash. A Disneyland employee died from her injuries Friday after falling from a moving golf cart at the theme park two days prior.
Anaheim Police and Anaheim Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the resort Wednesday at around 11:30 a.m. Pt to the area of West Ball Road and South West Street in response to a collision that occurred backstage, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Disneyland employee, later identified by the Orange Country Coroner Division as 60-year-old Fullerton resident Bonnye Mavis Lear, struck her head after falling from the moving golf cart and was taken to a local hospital in grave condition.

Prime Video’s “The Boys” isn’t a show that pulls its punches. The hit television series is in fact known to be gratuitous in every regard, from its depiction of sex and violence to its timely socio-economic and political commentary. But for all the fun showrunner Eric Kripke and his staff have putting “The Boys” together, there’s also a great importance put on using the superhero narrative to capture something bigger about who we are as people and where we are as a country. The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night averaged 2.82 million total viewers on CBS, marking the event’s largest overnight audience in four years — since the early-pandemic, virtual “ceremony” held in June 2020 (which drew 3.3 million lookie-loos).
The audience for this year’s kudoscast was up +39% from last year (where it didn’t air until December, due to the Hollywood strikes) and up +1% from June 2022.

Max has done it again. The Warner Bros. Discovery streamer has canceled another one of their masterful, underappreciated shows, this time the enthralling, cross-cultural crime period piece “Tokyo Vice.” The news was announced at the PGA’s Produced By conference by the show’s creator and executive producer J.T. Morgan was beaten and sexually assaulted by a masked man in 2021. That man turned out to be her former husband, who initially pretended to come to her rescue after the attack. Rodney pled guilty to kidnapping and aggravated assault charges. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Betty Anne Rees, who appeared on My Three Sons but was better known for the films The Unholy Rollers and Sugar Hill, has died at age 81. Rees died on June 3 at home in Hemet, California, niece Kathleen Loucks told The Hollywood Reporter. The retired actor had suffered a series of falls recently and had possibly endured a stroke, and she was also living with multiple sclerosis. Born Elizabeth Anne Rees in Shaker Heights, Ohio, on April 14, 1943 — and educated at Shaker Heights High School, the University of Miami, and the Pasadena Playhouse — the actor made early appearances on the daytime soaps General Hospital and The Doctors, per THR. In the early 1970s, Rees guest-starred on the TV shows The F.B.I., Adam-12, Mannix, and Mod Squad. Then came her role in the ABC-turned-CBS sitcom My Three Sons. Rees played Janet Ingram, the secretary of Fred MacMurray’s character, in the final season.

The Daytime Emmys celebrates the best and brightest of daytime television and is as cheery as ever for the 51st annual event. The awards ceremony hosted by Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frasier and Nischelle Turner opened with a tailored rendition of “Downtown” aptly renamed to “Daytime,” and performed by The Talk‘s Amanda Kloots and Jerry O’Connell. We’re not going to get to see one of our favorite TV couples on our screens this fall, and our days might be numbered with one of our favorite dramas well! When 9-1-1: Lone Star returns for its fifth season in the fall, it will be doing so without one of its series regulars, as Sierra McClain, who plays dispatcher Grace and the wife of firefighter Judd (Jim Parrack), has exited after “cast negotiation drama,” Deadline reports. According to the outlet, Season 5 could also be the show’s last, which was first suggested as a possibility when the cast was not able to negotiate raises. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Doctor Who Season 1 Episode 6 “Rogue.”] “Oh my Bridgerton.” Doctor Who leans into the fun of the Netflix series with its trip to 1813, and while the Duchess (Indira Varma) may start by looking for a match for Ruby (Millie Gibson), it’s the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) who has a fun (but heartbreaking) romance. The Doctor crosses paths with a bounty hunter Rogue (Jonathan Groff), with both thinking the other is responsible for a dead body; there are Chuldurs (shape-shifters) in their midst, and after the classic misunderstanding comes the bonding (on both their ships), almost kiss (on the Tardis), sweet moments (a dance), and heartbreaking separation (Rogue takes Ruby’s spot in a trap designed to transport the Chuldur to a random barren dimension). The presence of a character played by Susan Twist continues (this time a portrait), and we can’t help but wonder who Rogue’s new boss is,...
